This explains what ProofPilot collects and why.
What we collect
- Account data: your email, name and a hashed password.
- Testimonial data: what you or your customers submit: name, optional title/company, optional email, optional star rating, the testimonial text and the consent tick.
- Imported data: reviews you import from a CSV, paste, or Judge.me. A Judge.me API token you enter is used for the import request.
- Usage data: basic product analytics (pages viewed, features used) and technical logs such as IP address for security and rate limiting.
How we use it
To run the service: show approved testimonials on your public wall and cards, generate captions, process payments, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
Who sees testimonials
Submissions are private to the account owner until approved. Approved testimonials (author name, title, rating and text) are public on your wall and in any cards you share. Author emails are never shown publicly.
Service providers
We use Stripe for payments (we never see full card numbers), PostHog for product analytics, an AI provider to draft captions (the testimonial text you choose is sent to generate a caption), and cloud hosting. They process data only to provide their service to us.
Retention and deletion
We keep data while your account exists. You can delete a testimonial at any time from the inbox. To delete your account and its data, or to have a testimonial about you removed, email [email protected].
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing [email protected].
Cookies and storage
We store a sign-in token in your browser’s local storage and use PostHog analytics. We do not sell personal data.
